Born again?

Jesus said to Nicodemus, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
Nicodemus replied, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mothers womb and be born?”
Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.”
(John 3:3-5 )

We were created by God to be in relationship with Him, when we are born again we enter His kingdom. It is only when we have entered His kingdom that we can enjoy that relationship with Him
Living your life without God is like having a car without fuel, you may be able to find all sorts of other things to do with the car, e.g.. you could sit in it or use it for a cupboard but the car will never fulfil its purpose, the very thing it had been created for! It will never take you from A to B.
This is the reason that no matter what you find to do with your life, no matter how you try to fill it, there is always something missing. Happiness is fleeting at best and all sense of contentment, temporary.
Do you need to be born again?
If you are tired of trying to fill that hole with everything that doesn't fit, if you want to live the fulfilled life you were created for and if you want a one to one friendship with God, yes.

Jesus said, “I AM the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

It is our sin that prevents us being able to have a relationship with God, it is a barrier between us that we are unable to overcome ourselves.
This is the reason that God came to earth in human form; the man Jesus, to live a perfect life without sin so that He could take the punishment for our sins upon Himself. You may think, “I’m not a bad person, I don’t think I’m a sinner.” but if you have lied just once or stolen so much as a penny, you are in sin, and you need Jesus.
